Jeffrey W. Schultz, CPAJeff Schultz is an accountant with over 15 years of experience helping individuals and closely-held businesses eliminate their tax and accounting headaches.
With a knack for putting the mind-numbing complexities of the tax code into plain English, Jeff has made himself extremely popular among people who have interesting tax situations, such as new business owners, medical professionals, and real estate investors.
A graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Jeff has practiced accounting since 1995. He has served on the board of the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra and is currently a board member of the Plymouth Downtown Development Authority.
When he's not in the office, Jeff can be found cheering for his alma mater's football team or traveling to some exotic, far-flung corner of the world with his wife, Lori.
Jeff is a keen photographer, he makes extremely good coffee, and he likes nothing better than sharing great food and wine with friends.
William D Pratt, EA
Bill has been in the accounting profession for over 40 years, first with companies in a number of different industries, and then, for the last 15 years, in his own small business counseling firm, which had practices in both Plymouth and Lansing, Michigan. In May 2008, Bill's firm merged with Schultz & Associates, PLC.
Bill's Enrolled Agent designation came directly from the IRS in 1994. He has assisted numerous clients in starting and growing their businesses and avoiding the regulatory pitfalls that sometimes beset small businesses. He also enjoys the tax preparation portion of the business where he endeavors to find the best and most accurate solution with the greatest benefit for the client.
Bill graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in accounting.
When he is not working for his clients’ best interests, he is very active in community organizations including Plymouth Chamber and Rotary Club. In addition, for the last 6 years he has been a member of the Plymouth Township Planning Commission.
His avocations include crossword puzzles, travel, golf and spending time with his wife and three (soon to be four) grandchildren and their families.
Steven Ponce, AccountantSteve Ponce began his career in 2010 with Schultz & Associates PLC to assist with their ever-expanding clientele. With an extensive knowledge of computers and an appreciation for numbers, he has been contributing to the organization by performing various tasks using QuickBooks and preparing month-to-month financial statements for clients.
Steve graduated from Western Michigan University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Administration in Accounting. Aside from his studies as an accountant, he is an aspiring musician that enjoys continuing his studies. Whether it be practicing, performing, or attending a concert, music holds a strong place in his life.
Outside of the office, Steve also enjoys television shows, movies, and good times with his friends and family.
Lori Villar, BookkeeperLori has been with Schultz & Associates since 2005, working on various bookkeeping and payroll-related issues. With an in-depth knowledge of Quickbooks, Lori helps our clients efficiently manage all aspects of their accounting, including reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and payroll.
Lori graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995. She currently sits on the City of Plymouth's Planning Commission, and is a member of the Plymouth Kiwanis Club. As a volunteer with the American Red Cross, Lori spent over two weeks in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina, and also helped in relief operations for the 2008 Midwest flooding.
Growing up in a military family, Lori has a penchant for traveling. She also likes to spend time with friends and family, and never minds picking up a good book.
